Age Not a Factor to Choose a Leader. Vote Wisely

What is Age? Wikipedia defines age as the length of time that a person has lived or a thing has existed
. Then why are Nigerians using this as a factor to consider the next President of the Country. Buhari is 72 years old and some peope think that this will make him less operational as the President.
Let us begin this analysis by first looking at the current youngest Presidents and how age has affected their tenure.
  1. Kim Jong-un (Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011), born 8 January 1983 (age 31)
  2. Irakli Garibashvili (Prime Minister of Georgia since 2013), born 28 June 1982 (age 32)
  3. Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani (Emir of Qatar since 2013), born 3 June 1980 (age 34)
  4. Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck (King of Bhutan since 2006), born 21 February 1980 (age 34)
  5. Taavi Rõivas (Prime Minister of Estonia since 2014), born 26 September 1979 (age 35)
  6. Charles Michel (Prime Minister of Belgium since 2014), born 21 December 1975 (age 38)
  7. Atifete Jahjaga (President of Kosovo since 2011), born 20 April 1975 (age 39)
  8. Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson (Prime Minister of Iceland since 2013), born 12 March 1975 (age 39)
  9. Moussa Mara (Prime Minister of Mali since 2014), born 2 March 1975 (age 39)
  10. Matteo Renzi (Prime Minister of Italy since 2014), born 11 January 1975 (age 39)
Looking at these people, From North Korea to Italy, has age in any way affected the way these people are being governed. The simple truth is NO. Let me ask a question, why is it that the Father is most regarded at home and not told to keep silent when important decisions are being made. Age and Experience. So why are people thinking that Buhari is too old to govern.
If people have any concrete thing against Buhari, let them say it and stop using age as an excuse. Did the Age of Obasanjo, Yar'adua and Jonathan avail the country in any way.
Now let us consider that age is used as a factor. Let us highlight some Head of States/Presidents who did well even at Old Age.
Nelson Mandela became the President of South AFrica at the age of 75. Did he govern well or not. I leave this answer to people who think age is a factor in choosing the next head of state in Nigeria.
I want people to consider more characteristics in choosing our next President. Honesty, Respect, Incorruptness and many more are the factors I want us all to consider. Please make your vote count in 2015 by voting for General Muhammadu Buhari.

This article is my personal comment and I want fellow Nigerians to think well about the Future of the Country.
